The Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) is a voluntary, charitable donation program for state employees. It is an easy and convenient way for employees to support a wide range of not-for-profit health and human services organizations. Employees can designate their contributions to go to specific charities or donate to a general fund. Donations can be made through payroll deduction, check or cash.

Search for your charity of choice! With approximately 1,000 charities, there is truly a cause for everyone from health and human services, animal welfare, environmental conservation, and many more.
CVC has offered multiple ways for you to donate including a new credit card option. The following are ways you can donate:
- Online payroll deduction: Donate through an online payroll deduction through these two options:
A one-time gift or monthly deduction (How to use the online donation system). Note: Payroll deductions are post-tax.
- Cash or Check: To donate by check only, fill out a pledge form and return it by campus mail to CVC Coordinator (0318) or Unites States mail CVC Coordinator, North End Center, Suite 2300 (0318), 300 Turner Street NW, Blacksburg, VA 24061. To donate by cash, fill out a pledge form and hand deliver to the North End Center. Note: Cash donations cannot be sent by mail.
- Credit Card: Make credit card donations through cvcgives.org using the agency code 208 – Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Note: Send an email to CVC coordinator, Jessica Pharis at email@example.com, stating the charity organization and the amount donated.
- Monetary Direct Give: Donate through the Direct Give form, which will also allow you to donate before or after the campaign.
All charitable donations made through CVC (via payroll deduction, cash, or check) are eligible for a tax deduction. Additional information can be found on the IRS website.
