CSM Willey was awarded the inaugural (staff-created) trophy for his win and will have the opportunity to defend his title next fall. The Cook-off ended with everyone enjoying a bowl of their favorite chili, along with toppings and desserts provided by the staff. All proceeds from the event benefited the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign.

The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets took a new, spicy spin on fundraising for the CVC campaign last month by holding a Commandant’s Staff Chili Cook-off. Donations for the CVC were collected from over twenty participants and judges, who anonymously ranked seven different pots of chili based on their color, aroma, consistency, taste, and aftertaste.
