Accounts Payable in the Controllers Office initiated a penny war to raise money for the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign. Team leaders and Supervisors, Brandon Webb (left), Erin Poff (middle), and Rodney Ratliff (right), raised $601 in pennies for the 2014 campaign.
During the 2014 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign, several departments across campus hosted and participated in events to raise money for local charities. On Oct. 27, the Controllers office hosted a building-wide cornhole tournament raising $420 for the campaign, and throughout the month of October, supervisors in Accounts Payable in the Controllers Office hosted a penny war, raising over $600 for local charities. November included a baby photo ID and candy counting contest in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, raising $40 for Feeding America of Southwestern Virginia and the Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department.
